HYIP Information

by Gold Investor on August 29, 2007

E-gold the payment processor is having a lot of problems in these days. Most HYIPs’ e-gold accounts were blocked. Although most blocked accounts are related to HYIP activity, some people in the forum claim that they have not participated in any HYIP and yet their accounts still get blocked.

Relax Business had several of their accounts blocked. After a series of failed attempts to use new e-gold accounts, Relax Business finally gave up and discontinued using e-gold as payment processor. Now they only accept e-bullion & Pecunix. All withdrawal requests were delayed.

Online-Capital also had their accounts blocked. The problem with Online-Capital is that they only accept e-gold or wire transfer, and now e-gold is blocking their accounts. To make the matter worse, Online-Capital says nothing about adding a new payment processor. This means that most people will not be able to test the withdrawal system until the problem with e-gold is resolved, because the minimum withdrawal amount required for wire transfer is 120 USD (with a 20 USD fee included).

Sometimes you will see e-gold as a withdrawal option still being available in the withdrawal page of Online-Capital. In this case, if you request withdrawal but you did not set “Accept funds from blocked accounts” to YES in e-gold, there exists a chance that your funds will disappear.

However, accepting funds from blocked accounts may result in a block of your account, too.

Other popular HYIPs (e.g. Minvestment, 7-Forever, etc.) also had their account blocked.

I expect many HYIPs will use this (blocked accounts) as an excuse to scam. You should be especially careful in these days.

On the other hand, the e-gold situation gives rise to hackers wanting to hack your e-gold accounts. Basically they will send you an e-mail pretending that they are from the e-gold authority. A sample email may look something like this:

Dear e-gold account holder,

Access to your e-gold account has been temporarily disabled due to suspicious activity, which is related to “HYIP” websites. This has been done to secure our system.

Account access will remain disabled until this issue will be solved. If you are the rightful holder of the account, please click on the title bellow and log in to your e-gold account.

The link will go to a fraudulent site with URL and site layout very similar to that of the authentic one. If you follow the instructions and login, your e-gold account will be hacked shortly. So please be warned. Never go to the site of e-gold by clicking a link in your email.
